Urban Finance Systems — Minnesota State University

This is an introductory level course on governmental finance designed for management and planning track majors. Students will consider how governments fund operations and capital needs, the role of strategic planning in budgeting, revenue sources and debt, and other issues facing local and state governments. At the conclusion of the course, students will have a general understanding of local government CAFRs, enterprise budgeting and forecasting, and budget communications.
